![]() Requested to update and return to the sender using the self addressed Canada Post. As I couldn't locate the tracking number of Canada return post on the 13th of October call Centre to learn the status has not been updated. and learned the same has been forwarded to the consulate on the 4th. I applied Indian visa on the 29th of Sept. ![]() I have very similar experiences like most of you. For what it's worth I'll be complaining to the BBB about their dishonestly, their tactics designed to delay getting me information and refusal to refund courier fees. So bottom line I'd apply at least 2 months in advance of your planned travel for your visa and anticipate obstacles at every turn. They also refused to refund my Purolator fee when I said that whenever they are ready I was going to pick them up because i don't trust them to send it. Once i got through and got an operator for the second time they were extremely efficient in letting me know when my visa was processed.ĥ. When they put you on hold keep pressing zero after you get sent back to the main menu. Just keep hitting zero until you get through to an operator. I did this for my initial application and there was obviously no appointment honoured (honestly I never think it was going to but I tried anyway). Don't believe the "book an appointment" link on the BLS website. I haven't been able to speak with one yet and get disconnected each time they apparently are going to get one.ģ. Do NOT believe the pre-recorded message that say "if you press 1 someone will phone you back as soon as we are available" That's also not true. Just keep hitting redial and remain on hold. So, it's 2 weeks since my Visa was processed by the consulate and BLS still apparently doesn't know where our passports or visas are, despite assuring us they were at the consulate (they aren't according to the consulate) and that a manager will phone me back (they never do). Phoned again, asked to speak to manager by name, was put on hold and then disconnected. ![]() I then phoned BLS for about the 10th time and was again told that a manager would phone me back. I then phoned the consulate directly and after persisting they were able to tell me the visa had indeed been processed 2 weeks ago (within 7 days of applying) and sent back to BLS. The next two times I asked to speak to a manager and then was assured the manager would phone me back. The next 3 times I phoned over the next three days I just remained on hold and eventually was told the same thing, that it was processing at the consulate, they would check the box to see if the passport would arrive and phone me back in 30 minutes to let me know if it was there. I remained on hold and eventually, skeptically, pressed 1 at the prerecorded message saying "someone will phone you back when we are available" - they never did. The helpline is repeatedly busy when you phoned it, you have to phone multiple times in a row to get through. After 2 weeks of the online status saying "processing at consulate" I phoned the BLS helpline. I knew ahead of time that it would take some time but be warned that BLS is incredibly inefficient and dishonest:īLS said visa processing time would be 3-5 days. Applied 3 weeks ago and still haven't received my tourist visa from BLS.
